Hannah Montana The Series Is Over – Miley Cyrus Moving On

For many months now, we have said on this website that Miley Cyrus is clearly trying to shrug off the innocent Hannah Montana character which brought her this fame and recognition. First she left all traces of Hannah Montana out of her 2009 Wonder World Tour, and now the forth season of Hannah Montana on Disney is set to be the last ever made.

Miley is now ready to move her career onto a different path, with the massive hit Hannah Montana show coming to an end this year. Disney confirmed the cancellation of the show in the New York Post earlier today. Miley Cyrus will be on-set filming the fourth and final series of the show from 18th January through to the end of Summer.

And if you want to preview the theme of  Miley’s eventual departure, tune in to Disney to see the season-three finale ‘Is Miley Saying Goodbye?’ which airs in mid-March. A spokesman for Disney said: “It’s one of the things [her character Miley Stewart] has been wrestling with for months. Whether it’s time to make a decision to continue being Hannah Montana or just be a regular, ordinary girl.

So will you be sad to see Hannah Montana go off-air? Will Miley Cyrus follow the same path of the likes of Hillary Duff and the Olsen Twins, who have all faded into nowhere once their Disney series ends? Leave your comments below…

No she will not fade away at all. She is amazing and although I liked Hilary Duff who hasn't actually faded away since she has had about 3 albums out or maybe more and is now a rather big actress starring in loads of films and in Gossip Girl right now as quite a main character … And the Olsen twins did rather fade away yeah … But Miley will stay for a long, long time 🙂 I love her so much and I want her to stay around forever!! <3

It will be interesting to see where she is and what she's doing in 5 years after after Hannah Montana is a distant memory.

Personally I don't think she'll have too many problems.

The Olsen Twins only ever had their acting and in truth it was really only ever suitable for kids.

Hilary hasn't had the amazing post Disney career you might have expected but she's doing ok. Her films haven't really set the world alight but she's still getting albeit smaller parts than she may have been hoping for. She's appeared in TV series Ghost Whisperer and Gossip girl and released a few music albums which have had varying success.

I think Miley is a better actress than either Hilary or the Olsen Twins and there is no doubt that she is a better singer. Will she fade away? IMO, not a chance. If anything she will probably start appealing to an older audience while still thrilling the young fans that loved her as Hannah.

I think for now Miley is a star, but I think her stardom is going to fade away to Selena Gomez. Now there’s a singer, actress, dancer for you. She’s actually older then Miley, and she doesn’t go around flaunting her body and all that. Selena keeps it clean for everyone, where Miley is only worried ’bout older people. I think Miley is going to fade away eventually and Selena is going to rise.

um the olsen twins never had a show on disney and they’re huge in fashion world hilary duff is smart and has a career she keeps her life on the down low… Miley will be like Lindsay Lohan she’ll become more of a tabloid whore then anything she may have a couple of movies come out and then she’ll start getting dui’s and parting and lose her mind just like lindsay she already acting toooo sexy.

Miley Cyrus will never fade away, she’s just leaving Disney, which is probably the best thing for her to do. After a few movies, she’ll be recording again, but she’ll once again pursue country music, because that’s where her natural musical talent exist. Never mind all those past Disney stars, because this isn’t about them, it’s about Miley. She’s already told all the tabloiders to shove it down their throats, because inquiring minds need to mind their own business and leave her alone. At least she’s working- she has no time for clubbing or endulging in substance abuse. Miley is her own person, that’s all there is to it. Like many young talent, her age, she struggles with getting older, but in time, the struggles will die down. She especially struggles in the pop music scene, because people are all looking for excuses to tear her down with baseless criticism, which she definitely doesn’t deserve at all. She’s also made it clear that “Can’t Be Tamed” will be her last pop album, which gives a clear indication about her interview with MTV, last year, about her goal of recording her first country album. Yes, she might’ve recorded a few pop tunes, but clear as day, Miley Cyrus is really a country singer(“Ready, Set, Don’t Let Go”, “The Climb”). For her first country album, she’ll enlist the assistance from her Godmother, the legendary Dolly Parton as well as Sheryl Crow, who’s no stranger to country radio(“The Picture” with Kid Rock). Miley is going to be all right as a country singer, as long as she avoids both LeAnn Rhimes and Mindy McCready, because both of those women have serious issues of their own and really wouldn’t have her best interests at heart. She’ll keep a lower profile and record her brand of country music, not all this junk about beer drinking, relationship drama, outlaws, etc.- she’s not a fan of that kind of country music. The tabloids can go find someone else as a scapegoat for their blatant sensationalism, because Miley Cyrus is the wrong person for that kind of garbage. Say goodbye to Disney and goodbye to her recording pop, because when it’s all said and done, we’ll be talking about Miley Cyrus as what she really is, musically speaking, a natural country singer.
