Ke$ha got $1.63 for writing a Miley Cyrus song

Miley Cyrus and Kesha Song Popstar Ke$ha, 25, was paid only $1.63 for composing Miley Cyrus’s 2009 song, “The Time of Our Lives”.

Before her singing career took off, the “Tik Tok” hit singer wrote songs for a handful of artists, which include the likes of The Veronicas and Britney Spears, and surprisingly, she got shocked on receiving pay checks for her artistic efforts.

The Seventeen magazine quoted Ke$ha as saying, “It was like $1.63 cents for a song I wrote, I think for Miley Cyrus. It was an embarrassingly tiny amount. But I never cashed it and it’s on a bulletin board in my house.”

However, Ke$ha said that it was a rewarding experience as she had fun working for the former Hannah Montana star.

Speaking to MTV News, she said, “Writing for Miley was fun ’cause I think she’s funny. I met her and I liked her vibe, so I was like, ‘OK, I’ll write, like, a party song for a younger crowd.”
