7 Things is the new song by teen superstar Miley Cyrus, and is the first single from her second studio album, Breakout. “7 Things” was written by Miley, Antonina Armato, and Tim James, all of whom co-wrote Cyrus’s hit single “See You Again” and a number of songs from “Meet Miley Cyrus”. The song was first released in May 2008 to an amazing reception from fans in America, and was later released in November across the pond in the United Kingdom.

Miley described the song as “therapy” for her, saying “the song goes through all the different stages of what’s been going on the past couple years.” The song’s lyrics are “Miley going through, like, 900 emotions while I’m trying to write a song.” It has been noted that Miley wrote the song which “describes the pain of a recent breakup” and it lists seven things that she hates about her ex-boyfriend.
