Miley Ray Cyrus, born Destiny Hope Cyrus, was born November 23, 1992 to Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and Letitia Jean Cyrus. The Miley Cyrus biography is packed full of this singer and actress’s busy life. Cyrus told her father that acting is what she wanted to do after he took her to see a production of “Mamma Mia”. She began acting and singing classes and got her first roles as a girl in the show “Doc” ( Billy Ray was on this show) and then playing Ruthie in “Big Fish”.

At age 11, Cyrus auditioned for Hannah Montana after sending in an audition tape to play the best friend. Producers called and asked her to try out for Hannah instead. She was first told she was too young to play the role after auditions, but was soon asked to come back for another audition since she was so persistent. She was hired, and her whirl wind career began. She started on her albums, and began the “Best of Both Worlds” tour. She filmed four seasons of Hannah Montana. After Hannah Montana stopped filming, Miley came out with her “Breakout” album in which she cowrote 8 of the 12 songs on the album. She then released her third album, and began working on her film career.
