Miley Cyrus ‘Rock of Ages’ Casting Premature

Miley Cyrus has been rumored to be a part of “Rock of Ages,” but director Adam Shankman  says for everyone to just hold off from putting the “Hannah Montana” star in the spotlight for a few minutes:

“It’s way too soon,” Shankman told E! Online. “I love it, though. She went to see the show and she loved it and then I had to email her and say, ‘I hear you’re starring in my movie. Fantastic! Congratulations!’ It was just so crazy. She saw the show and that was all.“

Shankman is an executive producer on Miley’s next film, “The Last Song.”

A fourth (and presumably final) season of “Hannah Montana” has been ordered, but there’s yet to be any official word on when The Disney Channel will have its final episodes outside of “sometime in 2010.“
