Miley Cyrus has joined hands with her mother Tish Cyrus’s plea to ban horse-driven carriages in New York City.
The former Hannah Montana star reiterated her support for her mom’s campaign to prohibit horse carriages rides in NYC, by requesting her millions of Twitter followers to sign a petition to put an end to this tourist attraction, according to E! Online.
After Miley, 20, posted the petition’s link on her Twitter account, over 6000 of her diehard fans signed up in mere few hours, assisting the organizers, New Yorkers for Clean, Livable & Safe Streets in achieving their target of getting in 100,000 signatures.
Miley tweeted that her fans really come in handy before adding they made her mother and all the horses very happy.
Miley Cyrus, who is engaged to Liam Hemsworth, was brought up Nashville, Tennessee, and Tish joins with other stars including Alec Baldwin, Pamela Anderson and Lea Michele, who are all backing a ban on horse-driven carriages claiming them to be abusive to the animals.
