Miley Cyrus brought her sold-out tour to England a few weeks ago, and of the 10 gigs she is playing in the UK, the Wonder World Tour at the O2 Arena are certainly the biggest of the shows.
We’ve known for months that Miley Cyrus was hitting the o2 Arena, but numbers released this week show that the Miley Cyrus Tour at O2 broke all previous attendance records at the venue, attracting 16,196 fans. This easily beat attendance records set by Beyonce, Bon Jovi and Coldplay this year.
The record-breaking concert was the third of a five-night run at London’s O2 Arena, all of which were completely sold out. The Miley Cyrus UK Tour sold out in less than ten minutes when tickets went on sale earlier this year.
Miley Cyrus also stopped off in Blackpool while she was here, to perform a special show for the Queen of England, which was broadcast on BBC1’s annual Royal Variety Performance. Miley performed a stunning show, singing her latest hit, Party In the USA. Check out the video here.
Meanwhile it was announced today that Miley will be recording a cover version of the 1988 song by Poison, ‘Every Rose Has It’s Thorn.’ Looking forward to it Miley, and well done on the record-breaking numbers at the O2.
